Mormon.org Success - Monthly Visitors Reach 650,000
The continued success of Mormon.org was highlighted today in a new release published on the LDS Newsroom website. Mormon.org started in 2001 and is a website aimed at educating people about the LDS Church and its basic beliefs. (While www.lds.org is also an official website of the Mormon Church but is geared more towards actual members.)

Some of the highlights include:
- The recent redesign of Mormon.org (it is consistent with the “Truth Restored” campaign run by the LDS Church)
- Specifically noted was the increased ability to share and watch a wider selection of LDS-related videos
- 100 + new videos have been added including previously unavailable Homefront ads
- It is noted that monthly visitors have reached 650,000
- Another statistic provided is that Mormon.org has over 40,000 online chat sessions per month.
The new site looks great and is very clean for those who visit it. Functionally and aesthetically it is wonderful. I am happy to see the success of Mormon.org as I remember when the LDS Church started the Truth Restored campaign and thought it was an excellent one. It seems as though it has been successful as I believe they were testing it in a few areas like Kansas City, New York and maybe Las Vegas to see how it would do before moving ahead with it on a full-scale basis. The campaign centers around normal people talking about their conversions to the Mormon Church and the tag line of “Truth Restored”- both of which I think are very powerful. Now it appears as though the campaign has been furthered as the new look of Mormon.org is consistent with the Truth Restored campaign. I assume this was part of the initial plan and they are just getting to the point where the website is ready and the success dictated that it go live. Cool to see!! I wonder if there are further steps?
